Together with Cyndee and Jimmy, the four of us drove out to Madera's to taste test our wedding menu. I didn't have very high expectations since after all it was "only" wedding food. Susan met us in the bar area and escorted us to the dining-room, she introduced us to the banquet manager and started with two salad options. One was a basic green, which wasn't basic at all, the vinaigrette was so delicious I could have drank it! The berry salad we chose has fresh strawberry's and blue cheese. We had them hold the nuts for fear of guests with allergies.
The main course testers were a substantial size, I thought we would literally get bites but we each got a decent helping. Its a hard decision choosing between the chicken or snapper. The snapper has lobster within the sauce and the asparagus is crispy and fresh. The chicken was moist and where most would drown it in sauce, instead it was light and flavorful. We were all very impressed! Don't forget to try the bread rolls! They look understated and you would think :its just bread" but its not! They bake them in house and once you start you don't want to stop! I can't wait for everyone to enjoy their meals as much as we did, the chef at Maderas is a rock star completely for-filling our request of a classic Tuscan meal.
